The Good Shepherd Home aims to love,care and motivate The Elderly.The Elderly who are the architects of the world we now live in and work from.These valuable assects are isolated,lonely and even ignored.Many can be found in Old Age Homes, they own property and have well educated and settled children.Old Age Homes have importance and are definitely a great support to The Elderly,BUT they are for those who have no one in this entire world.The Government has threatened the children with serious action including confiscating property, if they do not take care of their parents.Can anyone force a relationship ?? This will cause more hatred between them.They will begin to even **** the Government who stopped what they were to inherit.The only way is work on how we can bring us closer to each other.We have programs in schools where we challenge the children to take up the responsibility of their Parents/Elders.The result is a reliasition in the children,tears and a promise to parents !

I dont understand that just because you have a newer home, or a nicer car you think you can do and say what you want? How some one can come to a neighboor in an ANGRY rage to tell them to rearange a parking system because its not convenient enough for them to speed UP and DOWN the street, can think thats ok! How can ONE neighboor complain and show so much dissrespect to ANOTHER who is widdowed and is elder with health problems? Was happend to all the kids playing baseball in the street, and playing tag. I am not saying im jelous of other people, what im saying is that we all have the RIGHT to say and do what we want, but in my observations i see that people show comple disreguard to respecting others. I have watched neighboors yell at eachother over STUPID things. And typically its not calmly discussed. It is rudely argued. And id say that not all well off people are like this. It is a genal comment, and they in my opinion are not any better but equal to the back breakers.

THERE WAS A ISSUE WETHER SHE COULD WALK TO THE BATHROOM. PER PHONE CALLS TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE THEY SAID TO WALK HER IF TOLERATED, IF NO WALKING DO EXCERCISES ON HER LEGS TO PREVENT CRAMPING. AT THAT POINT I WALKED HER TO THE BATHROOM. THREE DAYS LATER SHE WENT INTO CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, WHICH LEAD TO A HEART ATTACK. I AM BEING BLAMED, WHICH IS NOT TRUE. THE NEWPHEW DID NOTHING TO THE GIRLS.

Granted, some people are so bad off they need the round the clock care provided in a nursing home.
But I put my life and my dreams on hold for 15 years to take care of my elderly father. I even sold my house and moved in with him because I knew how much his home meant to him.
And I didn’t even date women because I felt that if things got serious, I couldn’t devote myself to two people.
I don’t think I deserve a medal or anything, I just felt it was the right thing to do, and I wonder why other people don’t feel the same compassion for their parents.

i am in my late twenties and my elder unmarried sister is in her mid thirties.I will be getting married soon and decided to move out of our appartment.My elder sister brought me abroad and we were staying together.she had gone out of her way to search an appartment for me when i came to stay with her.but we shared everything equally rent, groceries etc.Now since i would be moving out she is very depressed and requesting my fiancee to stay with her.first of all, my sister and my fiancee are not in good terms infact she is not in good terms with her brother in laws and also my friends.She feels bad that she has to mingle with her younger sisters friends.I dont care much about my friends but i do care about her.
My fiancee and i had known each other since 10 years.but had a very broken relationship and just got back together and have decided to get married.All i was asking was for my sister is to give me 6 months of time after my marriage so that i get adjusted with married life and then she can move in.But she wants to come as soon as we get married.I told her that i would help her financially to settles the rents.but she is very depressed.what should i do???

What im feeling sad is that she has helped us financially for our education and sacrificed by going abroad to support our family when my dad lost his job.PLus recently her engagement broke off.we are trying to get her a suitable alliance so that she can be happy..am i being mean by not letting her stay

I from a family of 4 kids and well I’m often the one stuck with the care giving tasks. Ever since i was a kid , I would after my mom when she was ill or my dad when he was ill. The minute a parent was ill , I would take over. I would cook meals, help with the family business etc. One of my parents passed away and I’ took care of my granny who is blind and paralyzed. I also take care of my mom when she is ill.

How will men view me because of this? Will they see me as a burden because i have done all of this in the past?

I have been using some anti-aging products and I was wondering if there are any studies that show that these products actual work. I can’t see myself using Botox or having surgery later on in life, but I still want to look “fresh” and wrinkle free. I have also heard and (see) that the more melanoma in the skin, the better the skin ages. There are some 40something black women in my master’s program and I swear they look 25! Plus, I see women in there 50s who use to tan and they look extremely wrinkled. Is there something black women are using that the rest of women don’t know about?

What can be done about this situation? I have a medling cousin who put my mother under undue influence and had a lot of money subsequently placed in trust for her. I have now obtained a temporary guardianship and am awaiting a permanent guardianship but the ELDER ABUSE hotline is smoking with calls from the neice both before and after her medling into my mother’s finances. I already know that I can keep the game going and report the neice to “elder abuse” but my main purpose is really to get “elder abuse” to cease and desist their fanatical investigations of me that have amounted to only a “hill of beans.” How many more false reports do I have to be subjected to?? How many more lengthy investigations do I have to submit to? Also, this latest “elder abuse” investigator seems to be overstepping his authority by implying that my mother needs to be living in a nursing home when she is receiving superb home care and the doctor has ordered home care and there are two us who care 4 her
